Established in the late 70's, our fabrication & machining division is a purpose-built facility of 14,000 square feet, with over sixty people covering a range of both highly skilled craftsmen and specialist fabrication machinery. We fabricate Precision Metalwork,  as well as production machining incorporating CNC milling and turning. More recently the division has diversified its services to support a broader range of customers, and related industries.  Over the years we have developed a range of support facilities including in-house painting and silk-screen printing. Machines include advanced CNC equipment such as :

·         CNC laser-cutting up to 20mm in thickness

·         CNC Turret Presses,

·         CNC folding

·         CNC milling  on 4-axis

·         Laser Measuring

·         Radan Software for fast data to product turnaround

·         Radan shop-floor job tracking

·         Radan 3D Modelling Software for just in time manufacture.

The division specialises in providing quick turnaround. Standard turnaround would typically be two to three weeks but we also fabricate designs with two to three day turnarounds. For long-term repeat work, lead times can also be significantly reduced.

We also offer a turnkey service where the customer, should they require, can have their designs taken to final finished product or partial instrument build. Calling upon ZOT’s other divisions the company can take a job all the way from start to finish.

Quality is key in the Sheetmetal division but not at the expense of a competitive price. We pride ourselves on the ability to deliver on time, to a competitive budget, with quality that will encourage repeat business.

Laser Cutting Capability: 6.0mm thick Aluminium, 8.0mm thick Stainless Steel, 16.0mm thick Mild Steel
 

Full preparation, prime & painting facility
Painting of both powder and cellulose paints with a continuous oven
TIG, MIG , Spot & Stud welding
Artwork plotting from Gerber Files DXFS & HPGL's
Silkscreen printing, including multiple colour printing.
Mechanical assembly: eg Door, Hinges and locks gaskets and EMC tape

Zinc Clear & Colour Plating, can be supplied in a RoHS compliant form.
