What will I learn
  • You will work in several areas within our Sheet Metal division or within our PCB Division (Manufacturing and Lab) to develop your practical skills to support, enhance and develop your Apprenticeship.
Qualifications required for a Zot Apprenticeship

4 Standard Grades (1-3) / National 5 (A-C) or National 4 (or equivalent) – mandatory Mathematics and English. Plus, another 2 subjects preferably Physics or a technological subject (Tech Studies, Craft and Design, Graphic Communication, Computing).

Qualities desirable
·       Willingness to learn.

·       Interest in Engineering

·       Good communication and IT skills

·       Ability to use own initiative and a strong drive to succeed

 What Qualifications will I gain?
As a Sheet Metal Apprentice, you’ll attain base manufacturing skills in SVQ Levels 2 & 3 NC in either Manufacturing or Fabrication and Welding. Over a period of 4 years, this will be a mix of you attending college 2 days per week and working in our Sheet Metal Division working closely with our supervisors gaining hands on experience.

As a Manufacturing Engineering Apprentice, you’ll attain base engineering skills in the form of an SVQ Levels 2 & 3 and Electrical NC (SELEX). Over a period of 4 years, this will be a mix of you attending college and working in a manufacturing environment gaining hands on experience.

As a Laboratory Technician Apprentice, you’ll attain base engineering skills through SVQ Levels 2 & 3 and Electrical NC (SELEX). Over a period of 4 years, this will be a mix of you attending college and working in a manufacturing Lab environment, gaining hands-on experience.

You must be available to attend the aptitude test at EDETA Services, Fort Kinnaird, Edinburgh, on Friday, April 29th 2024, at 1:00 p.m.
